I made this grain drill . 9 coil tool bar shanks,8" spacing.I used rain gutter,swimming pool vacuum hose.A hydraulic motor turns the agitator,a hydraulic cylinder opens,closes the feed gate.I added 2x16 upset chisels. I use 2 stainless steel hose clamps for each 1 1/4" electric conduit point openers behind the chisel.8 years later,it works very well.I use the same tool bar for cultivating corn,and field,crop cultivating besides planting corn with 2 JD #71 units. I also use the Gandy drop box for powdered fertilizers,ground driven.A good Drill.
