XYZ Symposium: Ceramics and Digital Fabrication was held online as part of 'XYZ: 4th Virginia McClure Ceramic Biennale', presented at McClure Gallery in Montreal (Westmount), Canada from October 1 to 23, 2021 and at Centre Materia in Quebec City from February 24 to April 3, 2022. XYZ is presented by the McClure Gallery of the Visual Arts Centre in collaboration with Concordia University, host of the symposium, the Maison des métiers d'art du Québec and Centre Materia.

XYZ Symposium features demo videos by the five artists participating in the Biennale - Del Harrow (USA), Emre Can (Turkey), Eliza Au (USA) Jeanne Quinn (USA) and Mat Karas (Montreal, Canada) - as well as introductions for each artist, a virtual guided gallery tour with XYZ curator Amélie Proulx, and closing round-table.

The Virginia McClure Ceramic Biennale celebrates excellence and innovation in contemporary ceramic art and honours Virginia McClure’s dedication to the field of ceramics and Montreal's Visual Arts Centre, of which McClure Gallery is a vital part. Each edition of the Biennale has an accompanying bilingual catalogue, including curatorial essay and introductions with colour portfolios for each artist.
