In this video I will show you a quick speed square hack that allows you to find the exact center of dowels, bar stock, rods, or any sized circle within seconds - without a center finder and without any math! Tool hack!

Finding the center of a dowel, for example, is pretty difficult with a ruler, since you think you can see the center of the rod, but as soon as you mark the third line, you release it's inaccurate and not repeatable. All you need is a speed square, a clamp, and a straight block of wood which is used to hold the speed square at 90 degrees from the table. If you don't have a piece of wood like this one, I'm sure you could improvise, or comment below and I'll help you find the solution.
