Amber tells Rick that if they give Deacon some real time with his kids it will cure his desire to play daddy. Deacon’s arrival breaks up Hope’s birthday party before it even begins. Brooke then takes Deacon into the other room to talk. After hearing Deacon out, Brooke concludes that Deacon really wants to be a good father, but also contends he isn’t up to the challenge. Deacon vows that he won’t let anyone stop him from being a part of his children’s lives. Nick and Massimo enjoy getting to know each other, but Ridge and Nick are another story. The men agree to keep it civil for Massimo’s sake, but the subject of Brooke ignites another argument. Ridge contends that he and Brooke are inevitable, and even if she did show some interest in Nick, it’s a dead issue once she learns the two are brothers.
