My 1st ever ride on 125mm wheels on a Trinity X mount, lightweight Magnesium frame.
Below is my review on "Powerslide Final 125 Trinity Inline Speed Skates"
PROS
* Trinity Frame is the most modern , latest and unique frame set and comes in various options viz you can change wheel sizes etc
* 125mm caters needs for endurance
* Shoe is hard shell but pretty much like a carbon shell
* Superbly priced pair where you can't expect speed/marathon skates to be lower than £500 so without any doubt Powerslide is the winner
* Wheel hardness: 85A is good enough and you don't need to think about replacement wheels for a long time though wheels are pretty affordable anyways
* Closure :- We have 2 options here Lacing and ratchet Buckle , to be very honest shoe is designed in such a way shoe is really snugged. I am UK size 8 and ordered UK size 8 and this pair seems like half size bigger. But snugged nature of shoe won't let you feel you are wearing half size bigger.
* Bearing precision:ABEC-7
* Powerslide is a Company with world wide reputation. They are just a email or call away. I had several doubts myself and got amazing assistance from Pascal (everyone's favourite)
CONS:-
* Availability and sizes is a big concern. I had to order my size from Skatepro UK and eventually delivered from Denmark as it was out of stock all over UK. Superb customer services and highly recommended one stop shop skatepro.uk, will for sure purchase more pairs from them in different frameset.
* Powerslide should introduce a high cut/ankle removal cuff option for Marathon skaters who are targeting endurance but not speed. That is going to be an excellent selling point. K2 offers this feature in "K2 Redline 110 Inline Speed Skates" . Obviously price is triple for that model but that high cut cuff will be a life saver for those last miles which seems killer without a cuff.
TIPS:-
* Please note, this pair is not for beginners and even if you are a pro urban skater DON'T go for 125mm wheel size ever if you are not targeting endurance or speed skating. That will be biggest blunder.
* If you are after 10-20 Km worse to worse case I will recommend 100mm wheel size and that too 4 wheel frame instead of trinity. Mind it Trinity will raise your height drastically in such a frame and wheel size thus stability will be a big concern, so for freshers this pair is a big NO.
* Never wear fleeced socks , my wife had blisters during ice skating few years back and today by mistake I wore n had 1 blister too. My bad.
* Order exact size in UK , it might feel like half a size bigger but as I said shoe is designed in such a way you had to pull it hard to get off even if laces are loosen
Overall nice experience.
Thanks for Watching
