Polish railway company Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna (LKA) will be recognized at #ZeroCon22 for their work in offering an accessible travel experience that serves as an inclusive model for the country.
Alongside an accessible website, LKA also provides wheelchair lifts, wider doors, online sign language interpreter services, Braille signage in stations and in half of the trains, as well as other features.
LKA staff members are now involved in developing national guidelines - and other railway companies in Poland are following LKA's example.
As one of 76 Zero Project Awardees, LKA has been selected through an extensive peer-review process that was influenced by the three main criteria of evaluation: innovation, impact, and scalability.
Watch today's #CountdownToZero video on LKA's accessibility program and share to inspire others!
