So I usually prefer to just get a rental car and drive to certain must-see locations myself, but in the case of Stonehenge, Bath & Windsor Castle it's absolutely worth it to take a bus tour if you're stationed in London.
BOOK THE TOUR: [ Ссылка ]
STONEHENGE:
-Unesco world heritage site
-Salisbury Plain, man made stones
-Built over 5,000 years ago, it's reasons are mostly a mystery which is what makes it so cool
-Took over 1,000 years to build
-No one knows how it was built, the stones are HUGE and super heavy
-You literally just walk up and see the stones, there's not much else to do
-Considering how far it is from London (2-3 hours) and you have to drive on the left side of the road, it's nice to have the bus so it doesn't waste the whole day
BATH:
-England was at one point a part of the Roman Empire for almost 400 years
-Bath is also a UNESCO world heritage site
-Known as one of the most beautiful cities in England, it feels like you are walking through the ancient streets of the Roman empire
-Named bath after these still-standing Roman built public baths
-City was built on natural hot springs which is why the romans built a bath here
-You can't bathe here unlike Japanese baths, but it's seriously so cool to get an in depth tour of what the Roman occupied England used to look like.
-They have videos recreating what it would have looked like
WINDSOR:
-This is where the Royal Family actually lives. Buckingham palace is technically where they work (Queen comes here on the weekend)
-Windsor is where a lot of famous actors live like Michael Cain (Alfred from Batman movies), Johnny Depp, Nick Cage
-Windsor is the largest occupied castle in the world over 900 years in operation
-Over 40 British Monarchs have lived here
-Be careful ordering food, get something fast! We lost our BBQ
