Meet our miracle baby Asher. He was born at 30 weeks gestation and weigh 3 pounds and 6 oz. Asher is our 4th surprised baby. I was diagnosed with short cervix when I was 20 weeks pregnant with him. And at 21 weeks my cervix was unmeasurable and membrane was bulging so I was rushed at the local hospital that day. That night they had to moved me at the big hospital at different city with ambulance, 2 hours away from Erie our town. They had to move me to a high risk doctor and see if they could still do surgery to prevent the baby from coming out early. But unfortunately when we got to the high risk doctor he couldn’t do anything anymore. He said after looking my ultrasound it was too late already. They couldn’t do anything anymore since my cervix was gone. So they sent me home the next day and just wait what will happen. So I was in bed rest at home nothing to do but to eat and lie down all day and all night. It was terrible since I’m not used of doing nothing and used to take care of 3 young kids. After 2 weeks of resting and praying, my doctor called. She asked me to go to the hospital and stay there till I deliver the baby since I passed the viability of 24 weeks. They said once you are 24 weeks there is more chance the baby will survive. So I got admitted at the hospital at 24 weeks until I had the baby. My 6 weeks bed rest at the hospital wasn’t easy. It was the saddest time of my life to be away with my kids for that long. But thankful that Asher stay in put for another 6 weeks. They had to poke me at the hospital each day to prevent blood clot and draw blood for checking something each day. It was terrible. But I had to sacrifice for my baby. But the moment I saw my baby after delivering him all the sacrifices and bad feeling was forgotten. Sacrifices was worth it. I’m so thankful everything works out good. And that because I trust God and have faith with Him. God said “ Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” ( Philippians 4:6-7 ) God blessed us with a beautiful baby. He is adorable. I believed God has a good plan for him. He is now 8 months old happy and healthy baby. You couldn’t tell he was born 10 weeks early. Thanks for watching and reading the story of our miracle baby.
