In this video, Nate uses the Konnected Alarm Panel Interface kit to upgrade an Ademco VISTA (ADT Safewatch 3000) wired alarm system so that he can monitor all of his zones in the SmartThings app without any monthly fees! Also works with Home Assistant, Hubitat and OpenHAB!
In part 2 of this 2-part series, we'll take it a step further and use the Konnected Interface kit to also monitor if the alarm is armed/disarmed, get notifications if it's triggered, and arm/disarm it remotely via SmartThings.
