Day 5 of our Hawaiian adventure was spent exploring the city of Hilo. In Hilo there is a very nice Japanese Garden (the largest authentic ornamental Japanese garden outside of Japan) Lilioukalani Gardens. We also got to see the Mauna Lao Macadamia Nut factory just south of Hilo. This is one of the largest macadamia farms in the world. Finally we finished the day by exploring the downtown area of Hilo.
