Imphal, Aug 09 (ANI): Manipur's Iron lady Irom Sharmila, who had not eaten from past 16 years, broke her fast on Tuesday in Imphal. She couldn't hold the epitome of emotions that stormed her head at the moment and broke down into tears before tasting the honey on her hand. Doctors say the activist might have to be on a liquid diet for the next few days. Sharmila went on an indefinite hunger strike in the year 2000 when security forces killed 10 people in firing. She launched a hunger strike to push for the removal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) that gives the army sweeping emergency powers to search, enter property and shoot on sight..
