Making a sampled based lofi boom bap beat with the Boss SP-303 & SP-202, flipping some dark sci-fi soundtrack vinyl.

The bass samples I use in this beat come from my Sample Pack "SP-202 Lo-Fi P Bass".
I played and sampled 2 octaves of notes with my Fender 50's Precision Bass then ran that through the Boss SP-202 at it's various sample rates.

0:00 The beat w/ guitar jam

2:09 The samples - everything (drums and all) started from the sp202. Before I chop the main sample on the sp303 I use Isolator to take out some the lows before chopping it onto 4 pads, making a little more room for the bass/kick.

3:33 Pattern Sequencer - for some weirdo reason I found this drum pattern easier to record smoothly (esp for when it loops around) if I started in bar 2...dunno why...

4:47 Vinyl Sim - coz....
