성덕대왕신종 주종 1,250주년 기면 디지털 음원 공개
Celebrating 1,250 years since its casting,... the sound of the historic Divine Bell of King Seongdeok ,... is back to delight our ears.
The Gyeongju National Museum announced the opening of its "sound experience center" from February 8th, which includes a digital recording of National Treasure number 29.
The bell was cast in 771.
It was last rung in 2004 before going into preservation, but was rung again for the first time in 17 years so its sound could be professionally recorded and digitalized.
This is part of the Lunar New Year events program put on by the museum.
