Intense heatwave condition in Central India, with Mercury fluctuating between 39 to 41 degrees celsius in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana. Indian meteorological department observed the maximum temperature is 3 to 6 degrees above normal in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra among others. In fact that the department has cited a low-pressure area over the Central part of the South Bay of Bengal for this intense heatwave. member in Maharashtra has presented in the Assembly as well with the health minister saying that a plan is being prepared for management of heatstroke and awareness drive is underway from the 1st of March.
