A major political controversy is brewing over the Tirumala Tirupati Venkateshwara temple, one of the most revered temple sites in India. The temple is caught in a row over allegations of adulterated ghee being used in the preparation of the famous laddus offered as prasadam. The claim was first made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, who targeted his predecessor, Jagan Reddy.
