In our experience, most people already know what they need to do to add value in their roles. This can be a result of previous training, qualifications, or sometimes, it is just common sense. However, even when people already know what they should be doing, there is often still "something missing" that prevents them translating this into practice. This is what we call the Knowing -- Doing Gap. Knowing what should be done is not enough. What's missing is not so much about knowing, but is much more about Being: Being FIT.
