Sky News has found controversial crypto casinos are being accessed by British gamblers, despite being illegal in the UK.
Online streamers could be breaking the law by showing followers how to access these sites.
Some influencers may be breaking the law by promoting crypto casino sites to UK audiences and there are questions about whether casinos are doing enough to prevent people from the UK from accessing them.
Crypto casino sites are blocked for people accessing them from the UK; however, some streamers and influencers are advertising ways around blocked sites which may be in breach of the law.
As a result of Sky News’ reporting both the UK’s gambling regulator, the Gambling Commission and Stake have launched investigations to determine if UK laws were breached.
