TRYING PAN PASTELS FOR FIRST TIME- with Suzanne Barrett Justis
In this REAL TIME art tutorial, I will be using Pan Pastels for the very first time to do an underpainting for a large horse painting that I will be doing in Oils. I will take you step by step and show you how to use pan pastels, do an underpainting for an oil painting and give a pan pastel review after the process. If you have watched my other videos, you know I often use vine charcoal for creating a light sketch on the canvas before I paint. In this video, I do a pan pastel sketch on my canvas substrate as the underpainting for a large horse painting I am doing in oils. You will have to catch the up coming video to see how the oil painting of the horse turns out!!!
Please watch to the end of the video to get my review of the materials and the process of using the Pan Pastels.
