Agency Advantage - Tips on Custom Lines of Business

In this video, we will go over creating custom lines for your business. To do this, click the Setup tab at the top and then click the Lines of Business section below the tabs. In this section, you will see template lines of business already built into the system, but to create a custom line, go below the list and click on the first button. In the first field, create a short abbreviation for the custom line of business, and in the field, to the right type in the custom line of business. Once completed, click the first button at the bottom of the list, and this will save the custom line of business and send you back to the full list of lines of business.

To use this custom line of business, go to your customer, and click on their name to bring up their customer folder. Click the Policies tab in the middle section, and then click the add button; it is the first button at the bottom, which brings up a pop-up window for adding a policy. Click in the Line of Business field, and you will see the custom line of business just created is now present. Creating these custom lines of business will not allow you to use the templates already created in Agency Advantage, which is one drawback of creating custom lines of business.
