OE Double Platinum spark plugs were installed to provide the best balance between price, fuel economy and performance. On average double platinum plugs can be replaced every 100,000 miles (160,000kms) but it is recommended to replace them every 50,000-75,000 miles, or 3-5 years to maintain peak performance. Properly functioning spark plugs are vital to achieve maximum fuel efficiency and maximum power. Good spark plugs provide a stronger and more consistent spark, which leads to more complete combustion and better engine performance.
