Tips to go there :

1. It is recommended to bring slippers or sandals when for enter Chaka Salt Lake. 

2. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance to stay in Chaka town or a scenic spot . The temperature difference on the plateau is very large, even in summer, and sometimes the temperature can be very low. 

3. The ultraviolet rays in Chaka Salt Lake are very strong, it is recommended to prepare sunglasses, sunscreen, and clothes to cover exposed skin as much as possible and wear sunglasses to protect eyes.

4. There may be many of small “black hole” in the middle of the lake where the salt has layered over an unstable area of earth.  So make sure when stepping across the lake bare foot that to test the ground underneath to make sure the salt does not cave in under feet.
