Creating shared value is a new concept of management, which was first
introduced by prof. Kramer and prof. Porter through their key article “The BIG Idea”. It describes how businesses are more effective in solving social problems than the traditional institutions, that are government entities and Non-Governmental Institutions (NGO).
The new idea of shared value shows how business can capitalize on their current businesses model to create economic value (e.g. profit) simultaneously to creating positive social impact.
