Prepare to be awestruck by the monumental effort and community collaboration behind this incredible feat! Sketchy Andy Lewis, alongside an army of dedicated enthusiasts, embarked on a daring mission to create the extraordinary Thug Mansion, a sky-high paradise suspended 400ft above the desert floor. 🪂
This project was no solo venture; it was a colossal undertaking that required years of dedication, creativity, testing, and evolution. Thug Mansion boasts seven highline-able walkable sides and two Space Nets connected by a "float line," resembling a highline with two dynamic anchors. 🏞️
The planning stage alone was enough to boggle the mind, as the sheer volume of gear and manpower needed seemed unimaginable. But the word went out, and preparations began. Nets were meticulously pre-rigged, and weaving added up to a staggering 21,000+ feet of cord inside the nets. Lines were measured and taped, dynamometers tracked forces in the system, hardware was sorted for potential users, and everything was organized and loaded into vehicles. 🧵
On the day of the rig, a heartwarming sight greeted Sketchy Andy: a bustling parking lot filled with eager volunteers. Within moments, gear was being transported to the location, exemplifying the power of collective effort. 💪
Nearly 100 individuals came together over the course of the day to make Thug Mansion a reality. By sunset, they were leisurely strolling along the lines, fine-tuning the setup for perfection. Day two was marked by a heartfelt celebration, commemorating the 2-year anniversary of their fallen comrade, Daniel Moore, who watched over them from beneath a tree. 🌳
The structure was immaculate, and jumping from it was nothing short of amazing. However, as night fell, Sketchy Andy couldn't shake the anticipation of the BASEline - a daring endeavor that would take him from the net. Sleepless and filled with trepidation, he knew he had to face it. And this is the raw, unfiltered video captured by his GoPro4 Black, 1440x80 W, documenting the historic first-ever Net to Net BASE line. Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping adventure! 🎥🪂
