Saturday will start with more cloud cover in the morning before turning mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs will be a touch cooler in the mid-upper 50s. Winds will be breezy at times, but not higher than average. Lows will plummet Saturday night into the upper 20s and low 30s prompting cold weather watches and warnings for most of the region.
A Freeze Warning has been issued for Greater Burke, Greater Caldwell, Alexander, Iredell, Catawba, Rowan, Cleveland, Lincoln, Gaston, Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Stanly, York, Union, Anson, Richmond, Chester, and Lancaster counties Sunday from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. A Freeze Watch has been issued for Chesterfield County.
