If you want to move your stocks from one demat account to another, then watch this video to know the complete step-by-step guide that will help your transfer shares without any hassles.

Here’s how to transfer shares:

1- Fill in the details: Target client ID needs to be entered. A code that has 16 characters, including client ID and depository participant.
2- Select the right option: You need to choose the right option:
• Intra-depository: Choose this option if you are transferring your shares to an account with the same depository.
• Inter-depository: If you’re transferring the shares to another depository, then select this option.
3- Submit the DIS: The next step is to check for accuracy. Now, submit the slip to your DP and retain the acknowledgment. It will take around three to five days for the transfer. A small amount will be charged from the DP from which you’re transferring.
