Zimbabwe is a land locked country, located in south central Africa. It occupies an area, of three hundred and ninety thousand, seven hundred and fifty seven, square kilometers, of which three thousand, nine hundred and ten, is covered by water.
It extends eight hundred and fifty two kilometers, West north West to East South East, and seven hundred and ten kilo meters, North north east to South south west.
Comparatively, the area occupied by Zimbabwe, is slightly larger than Japan, or the state of Montana in the U.S.
Zimbabwe is ranked 62nd, in terms of total area.
Bordered to the north and east by Mozambique, to the south by the Republic of South Africa, on the south west by Botswana, and on the north and north west by Zambia, Zimbabwe has a total boundary length of three thousand and sixty six kilometers.
