Planning for back to school may look a little different for parents of children with diabetes this year. The American Diabetes Association® (ADA), JDRF and Sansum Diabetes Research Institute have teamed up to host Returning to School with Diabetes: A Virtual Town Hall.
Attendees will speak to and ask industry experts about the legal rights of students with diabetes, written plans, recommendations for adding coronavirus accommodations, CDC coronavirus guidance, students with diabetes coronavirus risk, importance of training school staff, field trips and extracurricular activities, diabetes technology use at school, helpful resources, and more.
