Flying the dual-axis FPV gimbal, it’s been a while since I’ve flown it and I forgot how difficult it is compared to the single axis gimbal. This is single-operator and acro.
I only occasionally fly this because it is so tricky, and while I hope to be able to use it effectively one day, I will still primarily fly with a single axis gimbal, as “rolling” the camera is really only good for camera correction and doesn’t help pilot the drone like the single axis (pitch) does.
The design is open source and posted on MedlinDrone.com along with an article on the first flight experience, but I don’t recommend anyone try it until they have gotten good enough with a single axis gimbal that it is second nature and have developed muscle memory. If you try to fly this and are having to think about anything other than roll you will crash very quickly.
