I made this video in response to a short Wrangler Star did explaining to his viewers how to check the firewoods moisture content when bought from untrustworthy firewood sellers. Unfortunately he failed to mention that unless wood has reached its EMC, a sample taken from the outside is not an accurate representation of the actual moisture content. His short does nothing to help vulnerable buyers, it does however help dishonest sellers. Additionally, single digit EMC readings from airdried wood are hard to achieve in many parts of the country, especially the pacific northwest. This video is not a jab at him, it's purpose is to inform.
