Uproar over 'Kaali' film poster continues to explode. The controversy which started from a picture of goddess Kaali, smoking and holding an LGBTQ flag, has now turned into a political debate. Filmmaker Leena Manimekalai, who promoted the poster of her upcoming film, faces multiple FIRs in various states for hurting religious sentiments. Reacting to the backlash, the director continues to stay defiant and alleges vendetta against her artistic freedom by trolls. Amidst the centre of the controversy, is TMC MP Mahua Moitra who, in a recent interview said, Kaali to me is meat-eating, alcohol accepting goddess.
