Schools of Specialized Excellence are Delhi Government’s choice-based schools that provide focused education to students based on their aptitude and interest.

Schools of Specialized Excellence are currently operational in 5 domains:
1) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
2) Humanities
3) Performing and Visual Arts
4) High-End 21st Century Skills
5) Armed Forces Preparatory School (AFPS)

Admissions to Schools of Specialized Excellence for the academic year 2022-23 are currently open for all domains in class 9. STEM and AFPS are admitting students in class 11.
