There's some noteworthy news regarding the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation's FC-31 stealth fighter program that surfaced around January 2nd, which we previously overlooked. Nonetheless, it's better late than never, I suppose. Since 2012, the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation has been developing a fifth-generation stealth fighter, the FC-31, to vie for a position in the PLA Air Force's fifth-generation fighter fleet. However, despite its efforts, the FC-31 eventually lost out to the J-20 Mighty Dragon, which became the preferred fifth-generation fighter for the PLA Air Force.
Subsequently, the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation has been endeavoring to export the FC-31 to foreign markets, albeit without success until very recently. Over the past month, according to the head of the Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan is set to acquire the Chinese FC-31 Gyrfalcon fifth-generation fighter. Pakistan's Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu mentioned this during an induction ceremony for Pakistan's new J-10C Firebird fighters, expressing that the FC-31 would soon be inducted into Pakistan's Air Force.
