PACE's virtual "mini-session" continued on 22 and 23 October 2020, bringing together parliamentarians from the 47 nations of the Council of Europe.
Thursday's highlight, starting at 9.30am CEST, was an all-day debate on the looming challenges of artificial intelligence - good governance, avoiding discrimination, "justice by algorithm", robots stealing jobs, "autonomous" cars and more.
Greek Alternative Foreign Affairs Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis also took a further round of questions from Assembly members on Thursday at 14.30 CEST.

This “enlarged” meeting of the Standing Committee replaced the Assembly's October part-session - cancelled due to COVID-19 - and allowed all PACE members to speak, though only members of the Standing Committee had the right to vote.
