The Duke of Cambridge has called for “more education, more awareness and political action” to tackle climate change as he visited a melting glacier in Pakistan.

The Duke and Duchess embarked on a remote location in the Hindu Kush mountain range in northern Pakistan on the third day of their royal tour.

Overlooking the northern tip of the Chiatibo Glacier in Broghil National Park, the couple were shown how it has retreated rapidly in recent years due to global warming in their first opportunity to see a melting glacier in real life.
