Child labour is still prevalent in Afghanistan. More than a quarter (25.3%) of all children are engaged in child labour. Of the 25% of children involved in child labour, less than one third of them are also attending school.
Children are sent to work to earn money that is barely enough to even help family get by. Save the Children in Afghanistan operates an education centre that helps children like Ali and Reihala.
