We were heading to Liverpool for the weekend and couldn't resist stopping off on the way to visit the beautiful Peel parkrun! We were far from disappointed.
A beautiful parkrun with a fantastic team, hosted in a park with significant history. The Salford Museum and Art Gallery overlooks this park on the edge of Salford University campus. The formal gardens are spectacular, the playground got a huge thumbs up from Poppy and the route ticked all the boxes for me.
A fast, flat, 2 lapper that runs next to the river Irwell, with enough variety to keep the second lap feeling different from the first. Really clever course design that makes the most of the park space available. We absolutely loved this park with it's captivating artwork and sculptures, manicured gardens, history, and even ducklings in the river! Well worth a visit... you won't be disappointed!
Happy running,
Nicola :)
