Jabari Parker (born March 15, 1995) is an American high school basketball player of Tongan and African American descent from Chicago, Illinois. He has completed his 2011--12 junior season for Simeon Career Academy. Many experts consider Parker the top player in the recruiting class of 2013, including ESPN, Scout.com and Rivals.com. Before his junior season, Dime Magazine declared him the best high school basketball player in the country, while a ten-member panel at ESPN HS rated him second. Following his junior season, ESPN HS's panel again rated him as the second best basketball player in the country.He was the feature of a Sports Illustrated cover with the title "The Best High School Basketball Player Since LeBron James is...Jabari Parker But There's Something More Important To Him Than Instant NBA Stardom: His Faith".
