Can you start mountain biking when you are over fifty? Can you return to the sport when you haven't cycled for a very long time? Here's my 3 Month fitness over 50 program.
As a happily married man with two grown-up kids, I have spent a lot of the last two decades sitting on the couch. This mountain bike video outlines a 3 month program to build fitness when you're in your fifties.
I want to be able to cycle the local single track nearby and eventually tackle some of the bigger trails further away. I have some cycling skills, I have some mountain bike fitness, but it needs to improve.
This video was shot around Sydney mostly Kierans Creek in Terry Hills as well the St Ives Showground. There is a little additional footage from McPhails Trail in Kangaroo Valley (which I would highly recommend cycling when your skills and fitness have improved!).
