Today on our 2015 Ford Focus, we're doing a test fit of the Kuat Trio roof mounted bike rack. That part number TR02. Now, we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we do that. On our ratcheting strap here on the back, we're just going to release that. A great thing about this strap is that it does move up and down the length of the bike rack to accommodate different bikes.
As for the front, we have a skewer here. If we open up with the silver handle side, we can loosen and tighten it using the silver knob on the opposite side. Then we're able to take our bikes off and set it off to the side. Now, I always suggest that you replace everything so none of it gets lost or damage. Now, we can take a look at how our rack is secured down. We have a metal bracket here covered in plastic with two thumb screws that are going to secure on your crossbar.
A great thing about that is that it does adjust to fit different style crossbars like our arrow ones here, even your round, square, elliptical and most factory. As for the front, we have two U-bolts with for nuts altogether. These are going to be hex nuts that mount up top here. You'll see two at the back and two and the front. You can use your tool to loosen and tighten those to fit around your cross.
Again, they do fit around those different stylings that you may have. They just insert through the bottom, tighten through the top. That's going to be our completed look at the Kuat Trio roof mounted bike rack, part number TR02 on our 2015 Ford Focus. Here on our test course, we'll start by going through the slalom. This is going to show us the side to side action which simulates turning corners or evasive maneuvers. Once we get to the alternating speed bumps, we'll see the twisting action.
This will simulate hitting a curb or pothole or driving over uneven pavement. Once we get to the full speed bumps, we'll see the up and down action, this will be just like driving in and out of a parking lot, garage or driveway.
