On November 30, 2024, as part of the final pre-service preparations for the expanded O-Train Trillium Corridor, OC Transpo held a dress rehearsal with 500 invited volunteers to test how well the line functioned with passengers using it. In addition to passenger ridership, several test scenarios were played out throughout the day to simulate potential real-life situations while in service.
We were graciously invited to take part in this dress rehearsal event, and we made the most of our time experiencing the expanded rail corridor (comprising the expanded Ellwood subdivision, the new Airport subdivision), as well as riding the new trains. Join us as we take a full ride from north to south on the newly-expanded O-Train Trillium Line Corridor; the original line of the O-Train network, on board one of OC Transpo’s newest trains, the Stadler FLIRT.
Special thanks to OC Transpo (operating as Capital Railway) and Noah Hui for making this video possible.
