This section of our trip was covered by both the Coast Starlight, then 2 days later, our trip on the California Zephyr covered the same section of track, just going in the other direction. It was a really pretty section of the trip, we it was nice to see it again. Because of that, we knew what was coming up next.
It's a beautiful bay, with a wonderful town right across the bay. I'm guessing it's El Campo, but perhaps you could leave a comment and tell me if this is correct.
The Empire Builder section of the trip (Chicago to Seattle) was 2,200 miles.

The Lincoln Service section was (Alton to Chicago and back) 514 miles.
The grand total for the trip was 6,061 miles. Come along with my wife Tina and me.
The cost was $0. We used our Amtrak MasterCard card miles, from First National Bank of Omaha.
I use these aps when I am on a train.
Google maps helps locate us, sometimes it can't find us however.

The AMTRAK tool to find where you are at is not even worth looking at. I also like to know the trains speed, so I use this ap. [ Ссылка ] We will be posting video from all of these sections.
