Methods for analysis of waste are evolving all the time. However, there are some specific technologies that lend themselves well to the analysis of highly variable, heterogenous matrices such as waste: XRF is one of these.
This presentation will look at the issues involved in measuring waste, the various forms of waste and the methods of presenting these wastes to XRF instruments to obtain an analysis.
A summary of the technology and the current standard protocols available will be presented.
