While exploring my first Nike missile site (Nike Missile Control Site LA-96) I encountered a park ranger, who gave me info about this abandoned LA-88 Nike Missile Base Silo Launch Site with underground sections. I guess technically its not a "silo" because the missiles were not designed to fire from underground. This type of urban decay exploring is really new to me, but I enjoyed learning about the Cold War era history behind these types of missile sites.
