Before building a merger model, try to keep in mind that there are 3 major steps that cannot be missed in order to perform a merger model: The 3 steps are:
Step 1: Obtain a purchase price of the Target.
Step 2: Estimating sources and uses of funds.
Step 3: Creating a pro-forma M&A analysis.
