Sunday night, Nov. 25, we had the City of Penticton cut the power to the entire hospital (existing and new). This was to demonstrate the generators automatically firing up and turning the vital power systems back on within 10 seconds.
There was a lot of coordination involved with this part of the project as we are working on an active hospital. A big thanks to those involved and to Cody Pederson for doing most of the planning.
UPS and battery backup systems also kept all IMIT equipment up and running for the 10 seconds of down time.
