I was part of the landing team that hit Omaha beach that fateful day in June. The ship ride over was tense. Feelings all around were of fear and anxiousness. But we were a proud bunch, and we weren't going to let something like death get in our way! Then we were ordered to take a small cemetery outside of town, things would soon become a lot worse than any of us could anticipate!
