Breaking News for Amazon Sellers: 72 Hour Notices, Trademark Complaints, eBay's VeRO system, Checking the USPTO, Counterfeit Complaints against Amazon Sellers

#1. Trademark complaints are skyrocketing: These complaints are not just increasing in number and velocity, but across multiple platforms. On eBay, sellers need to know that there is a different system in place than on Amazon. If you are a suspended seller on eBay, you have a great chance of getting that complaint withdrawn and regaining your ability to sell on eBay. You can do this by using the VeRo system and under that system if you can go under the USPTO, you can show that the complainant does not own the intellectual property rights. What sellers need to know on the eBay and Amazon platform is that they differentiate in the complaints system.

#2. Counterfeit issues with Amazon: Amazon sellers may receive a maybe-inauthentic or an inauthentic where suddenly you can't do removal orders in your inventory. If this happens to you, you should be concerned that Amazon has identified your products most likely incorrectly as being counterfeit. You need to get your invoices together: where the products were sourced and identify the link between the source and the brand.

#3: 72-hour notices are back on Amazon. If you receive a listing or account suspension, you are given 72 hours to respond. It is imperative that as a seller, you prepare a persuasive, concise and well-written Plan of Action to submit to Amazon. It is important that you take your time to gather your documents before you send them to Amazon. Make sure there are no issues with your documents, and then go ahead and send them in.

#4. Intellectual Property Complaint Retractions: We are seeing more and more retractions that Amazon is not recognizing. When you convince a complainant to withdraw their complaint by either showing that their complaint is invalid or negotiating a resolution, you want that retraction to say if you can, that the products were in fact genuine. There's a bunch of other aspects you have to hit during negotiation; you have to have the right merchant ID, the right storefront, the right ASINS etc. As a seller, it is important to make sure the email is then sent directly to Amazon at notice-dispute@amazon.com. You should also make sure that the retraction comes from the same email address that the complaint was asserted. In conclusion, you want to make sure the retraction says the products were genuine and all these issues listed are addressed. If Amazon has the wrong ASIN, merchant ID, or missing is missing any vital information of your account, Amazon is very likely not to register that retraction timely.

#5.
