This was a bit of a spontaneous one, so please forgive the phone-quality video. Was just trying out an idea and accidentally learned I can do this, and so decided to share it. If you need a quantizer and/or a track & hold in a pinch, the Westlicht can come to the rescue. This little feature can also come in handy if you are not feeling up to manually programming notes into the sequencer (or are even sick of randomization), and want to use complex LFOs or other (mixed/processed) control voltages to generate melodic/stepped sequences, with a semi- or irregular kind of rhythm and space (using the hold function). This is something I've been generally experimenting with a bit more: on the one hand, finding new ways to generate patterns and gestures that might not come about through conscious programming/composing, and, on the other hand, not being entirely reliant on completely random or chaotic sources/algorithms.
