4 amazing lessons you can learn (but probably can't match) from a masterclass in email marketing, The Morning Brew
1. They show up. Every single day. They don't miss, and the high frequency they create and deliver their content is a differentiator.
Think about your brand, how often does your newsletter go out? Once a month? Once a week maybe? Well good luck, they are out there every single day.
2. They have won the war in branding the coffee emoji. Every single email they send out has the ☕.
So if you come to your inbox and you're looking for their email, you're not looking for the sender, you're not looking for the subject line, you're looking for the ☕
3. It's looooong content. There's a ton of content, I went back and looked at the 5 latest emails (dating July 10-14) and the average word count was 1,971 words.
We talked about consistency of every day, but every day at 1,971 words of content?! (And I'm not even talking about all the website content)
4. The design is functional. It delivers what is promised. It's built to handle 1,971 words of content.
Could I create an exact copy of it using a drag and drop builder in an email tool? Probably.
That's a lesson you CAN probably implement... there are higher priority issues in email than design.
