The leading virtual RAN (vRAN) and Open RAN implementations have one thing in common: They use Wind River Studio as the distributed cloud software infrastructure. Here, we discuss how Studio has been implemented at Verizon and Vodafone, the innovative features that make Studio the open cloud (O-Cloud) of choice, and how other CSPs can leverage Wind River’s experience and collaboration with Dell, Intel and others to deploy Open RAN faster, more effectively and at a lower cost.
